In this video, we show the robot's point of view just after the Prewitt edge filter is applied using the RoboRealm vision software. Note how even the thin chair legs stand out as vertical edges. For a more detailed explanation of how this edge map is computed, see http://www.pirobot.org/blog/0004/

Getting around in a cluttered world. The silver ball is part of an omnidirectional vision system which is not used in this video. The obstacle avoidance routine is based on IR and sonar sensors. A full description can be found at:

Head tracking with visual search thread that kicks in when target leaves field of view, plus arm tracking thread. Arms follow motion of target, then grasps the object when moved between the hands. Pi Robot then lifts the object and raises head. Finally, lets go of object for another round. (This is a repost of an earlier video with a slower frame rate since YouTube was playing the first video at double speed...)

Head tracking with visual search thread that kicks in when target leaves field of view, plus arm tracking thread turned on part way through video. Arms follow motion of target, then grasps the object when moved between the hands. Pi Robot then lifts the object and raises head. Finally, lets go of object for another round. (This is a repost of an earlier video since YouTube seems to have mangled the first one.)

This is the latest game that I have been working on for the LEDBOY handheld video game system. It is a Super Mario Bros 1 clone and I have named it 'Super Pixel Bros'

It is still a work in progress and I still have quite a way to go with it. I would eventually like to have all 32 levels of the game in it and also include the bad guys and items to pick up. and perhaps even some hidden special stages...

At the moment you can just see the first four levels of the game but when I get around to making more of this game I will upload a new video. hopefully it will turn into a complete game by the end of it.

thanks for looking and God bless.

This is the very first completed game for the new handheld game system I have designed called the LEDBOY. I have named this game 'The Great Race II'

The original great race game I designed last year was a simpler version of what you see here. The Great Race II picks up from where the original left off by offering more indepth gameplay with seven levels, a timer and random special items.

I have a number of other games that I am working on for the LEDBOY and I would like to get enough interest for me to make this into a kit that you can buy and build for yourself.

My main goal is to create 80's style games that are quite indepth, and fit it all on an 8x8 RGB LED matrix.
